The Twin Falls Canal Company announced today (03/11/2022) that that irrigation deliveries for the 2022 irrigation season will start at 5/8″ of an inch per share. A standard delivery rate is ¾” per share when water conditions are more adequate. The Upper Snake river reservoir system is currently only 50% of capacity while snow pack in the Snake River basin above American Falls is only 75% of median.
The start-up date will be weather dependent, and likely a few days later that usual as we attempt to ensure reservoir fill at American Falls. We will be watching the weather forecasts and river operations closely over the coming weeks and making adjustments accordingly.
